Advanced Practice - Physician Assistant - Family Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner
Job Details:
• Seeking 1-2 NP or PA providers familiar with preoperative clinic settings who can begin immediately
• Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 7:00-7:30 AM start times, 10-hour shifts with overtime after 10 hours
• Position requires 0.75 FTE or combination of full-time and 0.5 FTE providers
• Evaluate patients preoperatively and optimize for surgery through physical examination, lab tests, and EKG
• Handle 11-12 patient encounters per shift with 60-minute appointments (20-30 minutes provider time)
• Work with diverse surgical cases including thoracic, vascular, orthopedic, plastic, and gynecological procedures
• Partner with anesthesia teams to identify and mitigate potential barriers to anesthesia
• Manage anemia clinic serving pregnant and anemic patients with infusion therapies
• Review patient histories, medications, lab work, and complete History & Physical documentation
• Determine surgical barriers and provide mitigation strategies and specialty referrals
• Collaborate with Chief of Perioperative and Interventional Services and Chief of Anesthesia
• Must be licensed in Washington State with board certification required
• BLS certification required, temporary privileges available in 3-4 weeks
• Minimum 3-month assignment with high likelihood of extension

Compensation:
