Clinicians will find year-round recreational and cultural activities available throughout the state during time away from assignment.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians will provide outpatient and clinic-based primary care services to adult patients at a correctional facility in Washington, working either four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (with Tuesday through Thursday off) or Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The expected caseload is 5-8 patients per day, with clinical responsibilities encompassing injury management, acute illness treatment, follow-up visits, physicals, complicated chronic care management, urgent care, and minor procedures within a structured correctional environment. No call coverage is required for this assignment. Required credentials include BLS, a Washington state license, DEA registration, COVID vaccination, and prescriptive authority; board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is negotiable, and credentialing is estimated at 1-2 weeks.
