Family Medicine Physician Needed in Venice, CA | Community Clinic | All Ages | No Call

Job description

This is an outpatient family medicine opportunity at a community clinic in the Venice area of Los Angeles, California, affiliated with a major academic health system. The clinic operates across multiple sites in the LA area, and the provider is assigned a home base of one to two locations in a commutable area. The schedule is five 8-hour shifts, starting at 8:00a and 11:00a, with one to two evening shifts per week and no call; there is some flexibility for 12-hour shifts depending on location, and the client is open to different coverage amounts - four weeks per month is ideal, but part-timers are welcome. The assignment runs approximately 26 weeks, and credentialing takes approximately 12-14 weeks.

The physician sees about 18 patients per day across all ages - pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Support is robust, with medical assistants, RNs, and LVNs at all locations and behavioral health on-site. Documentation is in Epic.

Candidates should be Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (Board Eligible acceptable with good reason and an adequate skillset), with an active California license, a DEA and California CSR, BLS and ACLS, and a minimum of two years of experience. Spanish or medical Spanish is strongly preferred.
