Medical Director – Auburn, California

Position Details:

Specialty: Family Medicine
Setting: Outpatient Community Health
Location: Auburn, California
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Clinical Schedule: 2 days of direct patient care + 2.5–3 days of administrative/leadership responsibilities
Patient Volume: Approximately 16–18 patients per clinical day
Patient Population: Must be comfortable seeing all ages
EMR: eClinicalWorks
Start: ASAP
Credentialing: Approximately 60–90 days; expedited credentialing may be available due to the immediate need

Clinical & Leadership Responsibilities:

Provide direct outpatient family medicine care across the lifespan.
Serve as a clinical leader and role model for high-quality, person-centered care.
Help establish and maintain clinical standards, quality initiatives, and care delivery practices.
Oversee and support clinical leads at the Auburn and Rocklin clinics, with the potential to oversee all three clinics as the South Placer location opens.
Develop and mentor providers and emerging clinical leaders through coaching and professional development.
Utilize clinical and operational data to improve patient access, quality, and outcomes.
Champion clinical compliance, regulatory readiness, credentialing, licensing, and clinical standards.
Collaborate with executive, operational, and other clinical departments to support integrated care.
Help shape and expand the organization's growing multi-site medical program.

Qualifications:

MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Family Medicine required; Internal Medicine physicians will not be considered
Active California medical license
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience providing direct primary care
Previous leadership experience in a primary care setting
Current BLS/CPR certification
Current DEA certificate
Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and DMV driving record

Compensation & Benefits:

Anticipated compensation is $325,000–$360,000+, depending on experience and final employment/assignment structure.
