Job description

Full-time Primary Care opportunity in Louisiana that offers long-term stability and a manageable patient load. This is a government contract position at a Correctional Facility, located about 2 hours west of Baton Rouge.

Position highlights:
• Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Approximately 15 adult patients per day
• 20-minute standard visits / 30-minute chronic care visits
• Primary care cases including sick/well visits and chronic disease management (HTN, DM, etc.)
• Light procedures required (suturing, casting for minor trauma)
• EMR system in place
• 6-month initial contract with strong potential to extend

This is a great option for physicians looking for stability, a lighter workload, and a longer-term contract rather than short locums assignments that end early. Board certification lapses are not an issue for this role.

Start date is ASAP, pending credentialing and security clearance (estimated 6–8 weeks).
