This facility is a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans by providing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. The organization is committed to supporting veterans through thorough medical evaluations in a professional environment.

Board Certified - General Medicine

Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans • Current opening in Fort Polk, LA - 2 days per week needed (20 mile radius preferred) • Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours) on a PRN basis • One-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing • No prescribing or treatment required • Quick credentialing and onboarding process • Acceptable specialties include family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension • Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions • Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) • Requires active AANP certification • Must maintain active and unrestricted full license in Louisiana • Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified • Local candidates only (travel included in rates) • Follow-up administrative work required (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics) • Must not be active military duty, in the reserves, or actively employed at the VA

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
