Facility:
This government contractor helps our nation's Veterans by providing medical evaluation services. The facility offers a streamlined workflow focused on compensation and pension exams along with separation health assessments, with locations across Michigan communities.

Board Certified/Board Eligible - General Medicine
Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans
• Provider must have their own office within 50 miles of listed cities across Michigan
• Multiple locations available including Brimley, Alma, Wakefield, Norway, Rogers City, Sault Ste Marie, West Branch, Manistique, Ludington, Gaylord, Bad Axe, Presque Isle, Harrisville, Iron Mountain, Grand Rapids, and Newberry
• Work schedule varies by location (1-4 days per week needed depending on location)
• Option to work half-days (4 hours) and/or full days (8 hours)
• PRN basis, ongoing opportunity
• One-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments
• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing
• No prescribing or treatment involved
• Quick credentialing and onboarding process
• Acceptable specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension
• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
• Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products allowed)
• Must maintain active and unrestricted full license in Michigan
• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified
• Local candidates only (travel included in rates)
• Follow-up administrative work required (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)
• One-time bonus of $650 for completing all required training and performing first exams
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
