This health system serves as a vital healthcare resource for the northern Michigan region, providing comprehensive primary care and family medicine services to the local community. The practice features a well-established team of 5 primary care physicians and 4 mid-level providers, supported by an EPIC documentation system.
Opportunity:
Physician Assistant (PA) - Family Medicine
Job Details:
- Temporary coverage position with a tentative start date of August 3, 2026, with a minimum estimated need of 12 weeks
- NP/PA or MD/DO candidates will be considered; only 1 provider needed
- See an average of 18-22 patients per day in a primary care setting
- Practice population focuses on Adult and Geriatric patients
- Work within 2-3 exam rooms using EPIC as the documentation system
- Perform evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
- Conduct gynecological procedures including pelvic exams and Pap smears
- Perform occupational medicine procedures including disability exams
- No on-call, no weekend responsibilities, and no ED backup required
- No supervisory responsibilities over other healthcare providers
- Must be available full time Monday through Thursday
- Must be local to Michigan as a drive-in provider
- Active Michigan license and active DEA required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (must be board certified within 3 years of finishing) required
- Minimum of 1 year of primary care experience required
- BLS certification required
- Self-Query NPDB report must be dated within 30 days of the presentation date
- Temporary privileges with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 10 business days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
