Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician for an exciting locum tenens opportunity in Ironwood, Michigan (49938). This outpatient-only position offers an outstanding work-life balance with no call responsibilities, no weekends, and no overnight shifts.

The provider will deliver comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages while emphasizing preventive care, chronic disease management, and women's health. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians seeking a stable, long-term assignment in a collaborative clinical environment.

Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient Family Medicine services
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
Perform preventive health evaluations and annual wellness visits
Provide Well-Woman Care, including routine gynecologic evaluations
Perform general gynecologic assessments and screenings
Manage chronic illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia
Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies
Develop individualized treatment plans
Educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices
Accurately document patient encounters using Epic EMR
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care

Qualifications
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Active Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain one)
Current DEA registration
BLS Certification
Eligible for hospital privileges
Strong outpatient clinical experience preferred
Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills
