LOCUM FAMILY MEDICINE / INTERNAL MEDICINE PHYSICIAN

Location: New Mexico
Setting: Outpatient Clinic
Start Date: September 2026
Assignment Length: Ongoing while recruiting for a permanent provider
Providers Needed: 1

SCHEDULE

✓ Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
✓ No late clinic
✓ No call
✓ No after-hours charting

POSITION DETAILS

✓ 100% outpatient
✓ Full-spectrum Family Medicine — babies through retirees
✓ Internal Medicine providers may see patients 18+
✓ FNPs available to see pediatric patients
✓ Average 8–14 patients per day
✓ No teaching or leadership responsibilities
✓ EMR: Elation
✓ True value-based care model — no fee-for-service or RVU requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

✓ Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
✓ Perform comprehensive physical examinations
✓ Develop individualized treatment plans
✓ Promote wellness and preventive care
✓ Coordinate specialty referrals when appropriate
✓ Order and interpret diagnostic testing
✓ Participate in quality improvement initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

✓ Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible
✓ Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
✓ Active New Mexico medical license
✓ BLS — Required
✓ DEA — Required
✓ Minimum 2–3 years of experience
✓ Clean background with no malpractice or license issues

✓ Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 30 days
