Family Medicine / General Practice Physician Needed in Brooklyn, NY | Outpatient Addiction Treatment | No Call | 2 Openings

Job description

Start: September 14, 2026 (ASAP, or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 26 weeks (6-month initial term, open to extension)
Coverage: General medical care in an outpatient addiction treatment setting
Schedule:
- Position #1: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p
- Position #2: Weekend and evening coverage, which may include 4:30p-12:30a, 12:30p-8:30p, and/or 8:30a-4:30p (weekends)
Call: No call
Volume: Average daily census 25-30
Patient Population: Adults
Practice Setting: State-operated outpatient addiction treatment center

Diagnose, treat, and help prevent disease and injury across the general patient population
Examine patients and elicit and record medical history
Order tests and diagnostic imaging, analyze results, and diagnose
Administer and prescribe treatments and medications
Advise patients on health and coordinate treatment

Requirements
Board certification not required
Minimum 2 years of experience
Active New York license required - must be in hand (not open to licensure)
Valid Federal Narcotics number and DEA required
Medicare/Medicaid enrollment in New York State required
ACLS and BLS required
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical exemptions only); MMR and hepatitis B titers, TB skin test, and flu vaccine (October-May) required prior to start
Credentialing is handled through a state process and includes fingerprinting and verification of qualifications; state orientation and training are provided

Position #2: Weekend and evening coverage
