Remote Collaborating Physician Needed | Chart Review Only | ~6–10 Hours/Month | No Patient Care | Active NC License Required

Job description

Start: ASAP (listed 8/14/2026) — can start within 1–2 weeks; timeline from offer to start is roughly 3 days to 1 week
Length: Ongoing with an initial 6-month commitment and option to extend (26 weeks listed)
Coverage: Remote collaborating physician for midlevel providers — chart review and sign-off
Schedule: No set shifts. Providers work whatever hours they prefer, as long as all assigned chart reviews are completed within each 30-day period. One 30-minute call with the midlevel provider each month is required. Roughly 6–10 hours per month.
Call: No call
Volume: Typically 30–50 charts per month, reviewing approximately 10–20% of the total; approximately 10 charts per hour
Practice Setting: Remote — preventative-care-focused practice. Midlevel providers physically see patients; the collaborating physician reviews and signs off on completed charts.
Review and sign off on charts completed by midlevel providers (approximately 10% of patient charts each month)
No telehealth or in-person patient care; no diagnosing or prescribing required (rare exception: ICD-10 coding for a diabetic patient)

Requirements
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Active North Carolina license required (needed to start within two weeks)
Georgia and/or Alabama license a bonus; IMLC a plus
Previous experience supervising APPs required, including familiarity with completing and submitting supervision/collaborative practice paperwork to the appropriate state boards
Comfortable meeting with the midlevel provider once a month for approximately one hour
Custom EMR (login provided)
No payer enrollment needed; no credentialing needed to start (basic information required: name, NPI, CAQH; DEA not required)
