Associate Program Director – Family Medicine Residency Program

Join Samaritan Health Services’ Family Medicine Residency Program as an Associate Program Director. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of family physicians while maintaining a rewarding clinical practice. Our program combines academic excellence with compassionate care in Oregon’s beautiful mid-Willamette Valley and Central Coast.

Position Overview
70% Academic Responsibilities | 30% Clinical Practice

Areas of need include:

Outpatient Clinic
Inpatient Medicine
Obstetrics
Community Medicine
Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS)
Scholarly Activity
Practice in a 5-star PCPCH with care coordination, behavioral health, and pharmacy support

Collaborate with an award-winning health system serving 300,000 residents

Academic Responsibilities
Supervise residents in clinical settings appropriate to their level of training
Work with the Program Director to maintain accreditation standards and ensure board eligibility
Develop and implement curriculum; lead didactics and educational sessions
Facilitate educational conferences with faculty and specialists
Engage in scholarship and promote inquiry at regional and national levels
Participate in faculty development to enhance teaching, leadership, and clinical skills
Clinical Responsibilities
Join a well-established, dynamic faculty team including behavioral health
Serve a diverse patient population from our university town and surrounding rural communities
Inpatient Medicine and/or Obstetrics experience preferred

Job Requirements
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Excellent clinical and communication skills
Strong commitment to team-based care
Eligibility to work in the United States
