Locum Family Medicine Physician | Clinic + Newborn Care | Florence, OR (Coastal) | 12-Month Assignment

Job description

Start: November 2, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 12 months
Coverage: Family medicine clinic plus inpatient newborn assessments
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00–17:00
Call: Weeknight and weekend call (7:00–7:00), most likely about one week per month; shared newborn/post-delivery call
Volume: About 20 clinic patients per day; 3–7 newborns per month
Practice Setting: Outpatient family medicine clinic and 21-bed hospital
Patient Population: Newborns through geriatrics

• Outpatient family medicine for all ages
• Newborn assessments in the hospital immediately after birth (no obstetric care for mothers)
• Deliveries performed by OB/GYN; L&D nurses and respiratory therapy attend every delivery, with tele-neonatology available
• Rounding and admissions
• Can work solo
• Documentation in Epic

Requirements
• Board Certified (Family Medicine)
• Active Oregon license required at time of presentation (pending license considered based on issue date)
• BLS and NRP required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years of experience; 1 year of Epic experience essential
• Case logs showing family medicine scope in the last 24 months
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
