Job description

Start: Flexible
Length: Permanent, full-time
Coverage: Emergency department
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 8:00–20:00 or 20:00–8:00
Volume: About 6,000 annual ED visits (about 16 per day); 0.31 patients per hour; 26% pediatric visits; 5.1% admission rate; 1.4% transfer rate
Practice Setting: Community hospital, 6-bed ED

• Emergency evaluation, treatment, and disposition of adult and pediatric patients
• Specialty backup: gastroenterology, urology, cardiology, podiatry, general surgery, and orthopedics
• Documentation in MedHost

Requirements
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (FM or IM BC/BE also considered)
• Texas license (or eligible)
• ACLS and PALS required; ATLS required unless Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
