Permanent Emergency Medicine Physician | Community Hospital ED | Bay City, TX | 12-Hour Shifts, APP Support

Job description

Start: Flexible
Length: Permanent, full-time
Coverage: Emergency department
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:00 or 19:00–7:00; APP coverage 10:00–22:00
Volume: About 16,000 annual ED visits (about 43 per day); 23% pediatric visits; 15% admission rate; 5% transfer rate
Practice Setting: Community hospital, Level IV trauma; 14 ED beds including 2 trauma rooms

• Emergency evaluation, treatment, and disposition of adult and pediatric patients
• Support: OB/GYN, pediatrics, general/trauma surgery, podiatry, cardiology, plus tele-neurology and tele-critical care
• Documentation in Meditech

Requirements
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine preferred (FM or IM BC/BE also considered)
• Texas license (or eligible)
• ACLS and PALS required; ATLS required unless Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
