About the clinician's workday

The physician will provide comprehensive family medicine services to adult patients in a correctional facility setting Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, managing approximately 18-20 patients daily with no call requirements. Clinical responsibilities include conducting thorough patient evaluations, managing chronic medical conditions, providing preventive healthcare services, and treating acute illnesses while maintaining accurate documentation in the Naphcare EMR system. The position requires Virginia medical licensure and DEA registration, working collaboratively with registered nurses and licensed practical nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes within the specialized correctional healthcare environment.
