Psychiatric NP Medical Director Opportunity – Maryland

Maryland

An outpatient behavioral health organization in Maryland is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Medical Director to join their team treating adult patients in an addiction and general psychiatry setting.

Position Details
ASAP start
Setting: Outpatient
Schedule: 4–5 days/week
Totaling approximately 30 hours/week
Flexible scheduling
Clinic hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Patient Volume: 8–10 patients per day
Patient Population: Adults 18+

Clinical Responsibilities
1-hour psychiatric evaluations
20–30 minute medication management visits
Treat conditions including:
Addiction and substance abuse
SMI
Psychosis
General psychiatry conditions
Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
Prescribe Suboxone

Leadership Responsibilities
Supervise RNs, LPNs, and CMTs
Participate in weekly management meetings
Ensure policies and procedures are followed
Provide clinical leadership and operational oversight

Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience as a prescribing Psychiatric NP
Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
Must be enrolled with Medicaid
