• Adult outpatient population within Jail system
• Full-time schedule – 40 hours per week
• 8 or 10 hour shifts available
• No call requirements
• Average 12–15 patients per day
• Initial evaluations: 60 minutes
• Follow-up visits: 30 minutes
• EMR: CorEMR
Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for adult patients within the jail outpatient clinic setting
• Diagnose and treat mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as clinically appropriate
• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations (60 minutes) and follow-up visits (30 minutes)
• Provide ongoing medication management and symptom monitoring
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams, including therapists, nurses, and correctional staff
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in CorEMR
• Participate in treatment planning and case consultations
• Ensure care is delivered in accordance with county policies, correctional guidelines, and best clinical practices
• Support efforts to promote patient safety, stabilization, and continuity of care within the correctional health system
Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA license or ability to obtain prior to start
• Experience working in correctional health, county jail, or public behavioral health settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care in a correctional setting
Working Hours

• Full-time schedule – 40 hours per week
• 8-hour or 10-hour shifts available
• Monday–Friday schedule
• No call responsibilities
