Job Title: Psychiatrist – Outpatient Corrections
Location: California

Job Responsibilities
Provide psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Manage medications and ongoing psychiatric care for justice-involved adults
Conduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention as needed
Collaborate with correctional, medical, and behavioral health teams
Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and care coordination
Support re-entry planning and continuity of care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and organizational standards
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and protocol development
Qualifications
MD or DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA license required
Experience in correctional, forensic, or community psychiatry preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a correctional environment
Working Hours
Full-time schedule
Daytime hours (typical business hours)
Schedule may vary based on program needs
