Locums – Gastroenterology PA – No Call – Local Candidates Preferred

Job description

Join a respected Gastroenterology team in Baltimore providing inpatient consult coverage in a collaborative hospital-based setting. This assignment offers a consistent weekday schedule, strong physician support, and mentorship from an experienced Gastroenterology PA.

Position Highlights:
• Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No call responsibilities
• Inpatient Gastroenterology consult service
• Work alongside an experienced GI Physician Assistant and attending physicians
• Daily collaborative patient rounds and treatment planning
• Opportunity for a smooth onboarding and training period
• Local candidates preferred

Practice Details:
• Evaluate and manage inpatient Gastroenterology consults
• Average 6–12 new consults per day
• Average 5–8 follow-up visits per day
• Shared coverage model with experienced PA support
• Occasional independent coverage periods as needed
• No procedures required

Requirements:
• Physician Assistant only
• Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, or relevant inpatient experience preferred
• Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to manage consults within a collaborative team environment
