GASTROENTEROLOGY APP

Schedule:
✓ Full-Time
✓ Monday–Friday
✓ 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
✓ 30-minute required lunch

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Seeking a Gastroenterology APP to provide comprehensive care to adult patients in a Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
✓ Evaluate and manage patients with a variety of medical conditions
✓ Assess, diagnose, treat, and monitor patient conditions
✓ Prescribe and manage medications as appropriate
✓ Provide patient and family education
✓ Order and monitor appropriate treatments and interventions
✓ Document evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, referrals, and outcomes
✓ Refer complex or high-priority cases to collaborating physicians
✓ Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
✓ Provide emergency interventions when clinically appropriate
✓ Maintain compliance with applicable clinical, documentation, coding, and regulatory standards

UNIT/SETTING:
✓ Adult patient population with a wide variety of acute medical conditions
✓ Patient ratio: approximately 1:14–18
✓ Epic EMR
✓ Pyxis medication dispensing system
✓ Anesthesia support available for procedures
✓ No floating required

REQUIREMENTS:
✓ Board Certified
✓ Active NY State License
✓ Minimum 3 years of recent experience
✓ Gastroenterology experience/strong understanding of GI care
✓ Epic experience required
✓ AHA BLS or RQI certification
✓ Strong written and verbal communication skills
✓ Residents and Fellows not accepted
