The area offers outdoor recreation across nearly 100 lakes and natural preserves, including airboat tours on Lake Istokpoga and hiking through the cypress swamp at Highlands Hammock State Park. Both Florida coasts are reachable within a couple of hours by car, positioning Sebring as a practical base for broader exploration of the state.

About the clinician's workday

The gastroenterologist will provide inpatient-only gastroenterology coverage during 24-hour call shifts, with shifts structured from Friday at 7:00 AM through Friday at 7:00 AM. Clinical responsibilities include performing colonoscopies and EGDs at a volume of 15-20 procedures per day, as well as inpatient rounding and consults with variable volume. Documentation is completed through EPIC EMR. Board certification in Gastroenterology is required for this on-site locum tenens assignment.
