Locum GI Physician

Assignment

Start as soon as credentialing is completed.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with night call 5:00 PM–7:00 AM; 24-hour weekend call.
1 FTE; multiple providers may be considered to fill the need.
EMR: EPIC.
12–15 GI procedures per day.
Approximately 12 hospital-based patients per day.
Additional GI procedures performed in hospital GI labs.
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 3 months.

Required Procedures

EGD
Small bowel biopsy
Lower GI endoscopy
Sigmoidoscopy
Colonoscopy
Capsule deployment
Esophageal dilation

Compensation

Holiday: $700/hr
Overtime: $700/hr
Holiday Overtime: $1,000/hr
Night Call: $600/hr
Holiday Night Call: $850/hr
24-Hour Call: $3,800
Holiday 24-Hour Call: $5,000
Call Back: $575/hr
Holiday Call Back: $700/hr

Requirements

Board Certified — Required
Active Illinois medical license at presentation — Required; no exceptions
DEA and CSR — Required
Conversion fee cap of $25,000 — Required

Travel & Reimbursement

Flight reimbursement available, up to the applicable travel cap.
Lodging reimbursement available, up to the applicable nightly cap.
Mileage reimbursement available; providers within 1 hour are not approved for mileage.
Parking reimbursement available at $2/day.
