GI Hospitalist position with Advanced Therapeutic training and expertise
Consult-only service
Covers two metro campuses
Non-emergent advanced therapeutic cases available
Opportunity to teach Internal Medicine residents and medical students

Setting: Hospital-based Gastroenterology
Type of Location: Metropolitan
Type of Healthcare Facility: Level II Trauma Center / Hospital

Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient gastroenterology consultation
Participate in advanced therapeutic GI services
Collaborate with GI clinic and multidisciplinary teams
Participate in teaching Internal Medicine residents and medical students

Required Procedures: Advanced therapeutic procedures; specific procedures not specified
Support Staff: APP support; in-house Anesthesia, Interventional Radiology, Cytopathology, and Colorectal Surgery
Days Per Month: 7 days on / 7 days off
On-Call/Weekends: 7-on/7-off schedule; call requirements not otherwise specified

Requirements:
Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
Valid Iowa medical license
DEA and BLS certification
Self-Query NPDB pulled within 30 days of submission

• 7-on/7-off Schedule: Consistent full-time hospitalist schedule.
• Advanced GI Practice: Advanced therapeutic training with non-emergent advanced cases available.
• Multidisciplinary Support: APP support and in-house Anesthesia, Interventional Radiology, Cytopathology, and Colorectal Surgery.
