Locum Gastroenterologist needed in Maine

Location: Maine
Rate: Hourly
Expenses: Flight, Lodging, Rental Car and/or Mileage
Need: Locum MD/DO Focusing on ENDO needs, BUT, if physician wants to see clinic too that would always be welcomed. CS preferred but that can be worked around if necessary
Credentialing Timeframe: Credentialing can be fast-tracked, but normally takes up to 8-10 weeks
Temps Available: Clean Malpractice and Background - Required

***Coverage Dates (Specific, long term only): January 2027 through March 2027. 4 weeks per month (M-F, no weekends/holidays). If you find someone that can't do all 4 weeks, it's preferred that we have consistent coverage month-to-month (i.e. know which week(s) the HP can do each month. First 2, last 2, alternating, etc.) Minimum 2 weeks per month.
Call Schedule/Responsibilities: Onsite: Open to negotiation if interested
Type of Patients/Cases: Provider will be doing Endoscopies only. NO ERCP. Conscious sedation is preferred, but they can work around that if needed by scheduling those patients with the perm providers.
Patients per Day/Volume: Varies between physician but avg 12 cases/day. It is important that we have a candidate who is comfortable scoping no less than 10-12 patients per day.
Practice Setting: Hospital/outpatient
Support Staff: RN support

Board Certified: Yes, must be BC-GI
Certifications/Qualifications Required (ACLS, BLS, MSQA, TEE, etc.): ACLS, BLS
IMLC State: will consider IMLC or licensing candidates.
Active State License Required: Not to present
