Facility:
This is a Level II trauma center providing comprehensive inpatient hospital-based care to adult and geriatric patient populations. The facility utilizes Epic EMR and offers strong institutional support within a well-established health system.

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens coverage needed 1 week per month for a minimum of 6 months with potential for extension, targeting a January 2027 start
• 100% inpatient, hospital-based practice setting serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• Average daily volume of approximately 8 follow-up patients and 6-8 new consults per day
• 24-hour in-house call coverage running Saturday 7:00 AM through the following Saturday at 6:59 AM, with in-house presence from 7a-7p followed by pager/beeper overnight
• Call ratio of 1:4
• Must be Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Gastroenterology fellowship training required
• Active Michigan medical license required at time of name clear
• ACLS and BLS through AHA required
• Clean background required with no malpractice or license issues - no exceptions
• Ability to perform outpatient and hospital-based GI procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, and advanced GI procedures required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90-120 days; temporary privileges are not available
• Approved travel includes domestic airfare, lodging, and rental car per travel policy guidelines
