Looking for a Gastroenterologist interested in an ongoing locum tenens assignment in Potsdam, New York. This position offers 24-hour call coverage with a mix of procedures and office responsibilities, with flexibility around availability.

Start: December 7, 2026

Ongoing 26-week assignment

Flexible scheduling based on provider availability

Full-week coverage is preferred, but consecutive blocks and alternative availability may be considered

24-hour call coverage

Typically up to 2 procedure days per week

Office Hours: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Procedure Hours: 7:30 AM–3:30 PM

Weekday coverage includes up to 8 hours of patient contact

Additional qualifying hospital callback beyond included hours

Epic EMR

3 openings available

Urgent privileges may be utilized if needed

🩺 Clinical Coverage

The assignment combines GI procedures, in-person consults, and call coverage. Office and procedure days vary depending on the schedule, allowing coverage to be structured around provider availability.

Procedural work may include:

Upper and lower scopes

Endoscopy and colonoscopy

PEG tube placement

Esophageal dilation

In-person GI consultations

Anesthesia is available for procedures, with additional NP and LPN support.
