Gastroenterology Opportunity – York, PA

Job description

We are working with a hospital in York, PA seeking Gastroenterology coverage for an ongoing inpatient need beginning August 2026.

Position Details:
• Hospital-based practice
• Procedures and call coverage
• Ongoing assignment
• Approximately 1 week per month plus weekend coverage needed
• Adult patient population (18+)
• EMR: Epic
• 593-bed hospital
• Anesthesiology support onsite

Schedule:
• Start date: August 17, 2026
• 10-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weeknight call Monday–Friday
• Weekend 24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• Initial coverage needed: August 17 at 7:00 AM through August 24 at 7:00 AM

Practice Details:
• Inpatient consults, rounding, and emergency GI procedures
• Daily census typically ranges from 30–50 patients
• Approximately 9–16 new consults per day
• APP support available for consults and follow-up care
• No ERCP or EUS required
• No scheduled outpatient procedures

Requirements:
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active Pennsylvania license required (or IMLC LOQ in hand)
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
• Temporary privileges available for clean files
