Job description

Gastroenterology locum float pool opportunity in Tennessee for 24 call float pool starting in July-ongoing. IMLC accepted!

Position Overview:
24 hour call coverage. 1-week rotations (1-2 times per month) at two locations in Tennessee.

Specialty:
- Gastroenterology (GI)

Start Date:
- Upon credentialing (approx. 60 days)

Setting:
- Hospital (Endoscopy Suite / Main OR)

Patient Population:
- Adults (some pediatric cases possible)

Provider Model:
- 1 Physician working 1:1 with APP

Coverage Details:
- Two locations
- 24-hour call for each assigned coverage day
- Schedule: Monday 7:00 AM EST – Monday 7:00 AM EST (weekly rotation model)

Locations include:
- Endoscopy Suite, Main OR / Endoscopy Suite

Clinical Responsibilities
- Inpatient GI consults (variable volume)
- Average of 5–6 procedures per 24-hour call shift
- General GI procedures and advanced endoscopy
- ERCP procedures (required)
- Collaboration with OR and in-house endoscopy nursing staff

EMR:
- EPIC (preferred experience)

Endoscopy Equipment:
- Olympus systems

Requirements:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active Tennessee License OR IMLC
- DEA (Tennessee), ACLS / BLS, ERCP experience, CSR
- Strong experience in general GI and advanced endoscopy required
