Position Overview
Seeking a Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Gastroenterologist for inpatient call-only coverage at a hospital-based GI service in Texas. This is a high-skill procedural role requiring broad diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy experience, including advanced ERCP capabilities.

10-bed GI service/unit

Clinical Responsibilities & Required Procedures
Provider must be fully proficient in a comprehensive range of GI endoscopic procedures, including:

Upper GI Endoscopy

Biopsy
Foreign body removal
Hemostasis (fulguration of bleeding via cautery/laser)
Variceal injection

Advanced Endoscopy

ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic)
PEG placement

Esophageal Procedures

Esophageal dilation
Esophageal manometry and interpretation

Lower GI Endoscopy

Flexible sigmoidoscopy
Rigid sigmoidoscopy
Colonoscopy
Small bowel biopsy

Practice Setting

Inpatient hospital-based GI service
Cerner EMR

Requirements

Board Certification in Gastroenterology required
Fellowship training required
Active Texas medical license required
ACLS certification required
Strong experience across full-spectrum general GI and advanced endoscopy required
