This gastroenterology practice is a well-established outpatient facility offering comprehensive digestive health services to the community. The facility features a 6-bed department with a focused and supportive clinical environment dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.

Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide comprehensive gastroenterology services with approximately 20 patient encounters per shift
• Active Virginia medical license required - no IMLC accepted
• Board certification required; minimum board certification eligible
• BLS certification required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
• Perform upper GI endoscopy procedures including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), injection of varices, and PEG placement
• Perform esophageal dilatation and manometry
• Conduct small bowel biopsy procedures
• Perform lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
• Perform colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyps
• Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
• Lodging recommendations available via preferred hotel list
• Assignment start date: 9/28/2026 on an ongoing basis
