New Locums Opportunity: Gastroenterologist in Virgina

Job description

Aya Locums seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for an ongoing weekend locum call opportunity. This assignment offers weekend-only coverage with the opportunity to provide essential GI emergency care in a hospital setting.

Assignment Details
-Schedule: Weekends only
-Coverage: Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
-Call: 24-hour call each day (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
-On-Site Requirement: Minimum of 6 hours on-site daily, typically beginning at 7:00 AM
-Practice Setting: Hospital

Responsibilities
-Provide weekend GI call coverage
-Manage GI emergencies
-Perform Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) procedures as needed
-Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) experience is preferred for this assignment

Requirements
-Board Certified in Gastroenterology
-Ability to manage GI emergencies
-ERCP experience is required for the primary need
-Candidates with general GI experience who do not perform ERCP will also be considered as the hospital continues to expand its call panel

Additional Information
-Weekend coverage only
-No additional support staff required
-The hospital is actively recruiting additional providers to join the GI call panel
