Locum Tenens Gastroenterology Opportunity – Washington

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Washington. This is a call-focused assignment with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, offering a flexible structure and strong clinical support.

Position Overview:
Start Date: April 2026 (orientation provided prior to start)

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
Coverage: Approximately 14–21 shifts per month
Duration: Initial coverage in April with potential for ongoing needs
Setting: Combination of inpatient and outpatient care

Clinical Responsibilities:
Call-only position with daily rounding based on patient census
Manage adult patient population
Perform standard GI procedures including colonoscopy and EGD

Ability to remain offsite when not actively rounding or performing procedures, with call-back as needed

Preferred Skills:
ERCP experience is highly preferred but not required
Candidates with recent ERCP case volume are strongly encouraged to apply

Requirements:
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Active Washington license required at time of submission
Current BLS certification
Recent case logs required (demonstrating scope of practice within the last 24 months)
