Location: Washington, DC 20001 | Type: Temporary / Full-Time | Pay: $42/hour | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner to administer workers' compensation claims from initial report through closure for the Public Sector Workers' Compensation Program in Washington, DC.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of workers' compensation claims adjusting experience; OR 8 years of progressively responsible claims experience including 3+ years in workers' compensation
Knowledge of workers' compensation laws, regulations, and claim adjudication
Ability to analyze medical evidence and make claim determinations
Experience with hearings, mediations, or settlement conferences
Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate and evaluate claims to determine compensability and benefit entitlement
Collect and analyze medical records, employment records, and claim evidence
Coordinate with injured workers, agencies, providers, legal counsel, and case managers
Draft claim determinations, notices, and adjudication documents
Manage assigned caseloads to meet performance and statutory standards
Participate in claim reviews, mediations, hearings, and administrative proceedings
Maintain complete and timely claim files and documentation
