Nurse Practitioner – Correctional Medicine

Job description

Position Overview:
We are seeking three Nurse Practitioners for a correctional medicine assignment in Cañon City, CO. This is a full-time, 3-month locum contract with a consistent 4x10 schedule.

Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive primary care services to an incarcerated adult population
Conduct assessments, diagnose, and develop treatment plans
Manage chronic and acute conditions
Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations
Collaborate with on-site medical and correctional staff
Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications:
Active Colorado NP license (required)
Correctional or high-acuity experience preferred
Comfortable working in a structured, team-based environment
