Overview:
A hospital in Athens, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse (MED/SURG) to provide comprehensive nursing care for adult and adolescent patients with medical and post-surgical conditions. This per-diem opportunity offers flexible scheduling based on your preferred days and hours, with immediate platform access after credentialing and no client interview required.

Responsibilities:
✔ Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
✔ Provide care for medical and post-surgical patients
✔ Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products safely
✔ Monitor vital signs, pain levels, intake/output, and patient status
✔ Perform wound care and IV therapy procedures
✔ Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
✔ Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge care
✔ Monitor for post-operative complications and respond appropriately
✔ Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
✔ Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
✔ Follow infection control and patient safety protocols

Qualifications:
✔ Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program
✔ Active Georgia RN license
✔ Current BLS certification required
✔ Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
✔ Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, wound care, and EMR systems
✔ Strong critical thinking and time management skills
✔ Excellent communication and patient care abilities
