We deliver evidence-based, client-centered telehealth services to youth ages 5 and older through adults across our licensed service states. The Role
We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Fitness Trainer to join our growing care team. In this role, you will design and deliver individualized virtual fitness programs that support the physical and mental wellness of our clients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to promote whole-person care in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct virtual fitness assessments to evaluate clients' current fitness levels, health history, and wellness goals
Design and implement individualized, evidence-informed fitness and movement programs tailored to each client's needs and clinical considerations
Deliver scheduled virtual training sessions via the organization's HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform
Monitor client progress and adjust programming as needed to support goal attainment and overall wellbeing
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete session documentation within forty-eight (48) hours of each session
Collaborate actively with the interdisciplinary care team — including therapists, clinical leadership, and administrative staff — to support continuity of care and positive client outcomes
Adhere to all applicable professional standards, scope of practice guidelines, and certification requirements
Follow all crisis management and emergency response protocols, including mandated reporting obligations (Section 7.7)
Participate in required staff meetings, supervision (if applicable), and ongoing professional development
Comply with all clinical, administrative, and operational policies outlined in the Helen's Project Policy and Procedure Manual
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in wellness, behavioral health, or mental health-integrated fitness settings — specialty background in trauma-informed or adaptive fitness is strongly valued
Telehealth or virtual coaching experience — our services are delivered entirely via HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms, so comfort with virtual service delivery is a significant plus Familiarity with Behavioral Health EHR & Practice Management Systems Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish or other languages) — we serve a diverse client population and language access remains a gap we are actively working to address
Experience working with adolescent populations (ages 15+)Background in trauma-informed movement, anxiety, depression, or co-occurring disorder support through fitness
Work Details
Employment Classifications Available:
Full-Time W-2: Minimum 32 available hours per week
Remote Work: All services are delivered via HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. This is a fully remote position. Employees must maintain a professional, distraction-free, and HIPAA-compliant workspace at all times.
Scheduling: Flexible scheduling is available, subject to minimum availability requirements based on employment classification. Scheduling is managed through the Front Desk / Reception Department.
