Qualifications
✔ Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program
✔ Active Louisiana RN license and current BLS Certification
✔ At least 1 year of relevant OR nursing experience required
✔ Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
✔ Experience with surgical counts, medication preparation, and EMR documentation
✔ Strong attention to detail and communication skills
✔ Ability to remain calm in fast-paced surgical environments

Key Responsibilities
✔ Function as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures
✔ Perform pre-operative patient assessments and documentation
✔ Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during procedures
✔ Maintain sterile technique and monitor the surgical field
✔ Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
✔ Conduct accurate sponge, sharps, and instrument counts
✔ Administer and document medications and irrigations
✔ Ensure safe patient positioning and transport
✔ Communicate effectively with the surgical team
✔ Document intraoperative nursing care accurately in the EMR
