✅ Qualifications
✔️ Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program
✔️ Active Louisiana RN License required
✔️ Current BLS Certification required
✔️ ACLS and PALS certification strongly preferred/required within designated timeframe
✔️ Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
✔️ Experience with airway management, pain management, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-operative care
✔️ Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills

✅ Key Responsibilities
✔️ Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, including airway, breathing, circulation, and level of consciousness
✔️ Manage recovery from general anesthesia, regional blocks, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
✔️ Administer medications for pain, nausea, shivering, and blood pressure management
✔️ Identify and respond to post-operative complications such as respiratory distress, bleeding, and adverse reactions
✔️ Assess and manage surgical sites, drains, chest tubes, catheters, and wound vacs
✔️ Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient recovery
✔️ Evaluate discharge readiness using recovery assessment tools and protocols
✔️ Educate patients and families on post-procedure care, pain management, and recovery expectations
✔️ Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes
