Locum Dentist - Manistique, MI - ASAP Start

Job description

Locum DDS or DMD needed in Manistique, MI

Current client - We have 2 locum dentists working here now

$120-140/hr + all travel expenses

Indian Health Facility - Need to have active MI license!

Credentialing: 2-3 weeks

Start: As soon as credentialed - January 5, 2026

Contract Length: 3-6 months

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8-5

Patient Volume: 8-10 patients per day + hygiene checks/exams + Must see all ages!

Procedures: Most General Dentistry (no cosmetic procedures or implants)
Amalgams/Composite resins
Crowns and Bridges
Oral surgery – extractions (no expectation of significantly difficult ones (impactions)
Pediatric Dentistry (mostly SSC/Hall crowns and SDF)
Critical that the approach is less invasive – more preventative
Endodontics (root canals on all but 2nd or 3rd molars)
Frequently need to do endodontic access on emergency visits
Prosthodontics (dentures and partials)

EMR: Dentrix for dental software and RPMS

License: Michigan license is priority but will wait for a license if no other options. Solid, unlicensed subs must have a clean background due to licensing. MI license about 8-10 weeks

Certifications: BC/BE, BLS, DEA

Additional Information:
Another Dentist working Monday-Wednesday coverage
Support staff: Front desk, 3-4 dental assistants (with varied experience), dental hygienists
Some walk-in emergencies potentially every morning
