Position Overview:
We are seeking a Claims Specialist for a remote-to-on-site contract role with a non-profit organization in Jericho, NY, managing appeal and dispute adjudication programs.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or advanced degree in healthcare, business, management, or related field
2 years of collaborative project support preferred; new graduates considered
Proficiency in project management software, electronic documents, and case management tools
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as point-of-contact for appeal/dispute adjudication programs
Liaise with healthcare plans, providers, and patients on case documentation
Track, assign, and monitor cases using case management software
Conduct initial eligibility reviews and recommend courses of action
Prepare billing invoices and coordinate with Finance on payments
Present case/project status in team huddles and scrums
