Position Overview:
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a RN Behavioral Health SME for a nonprofit organization located in Jericho, NY. This 1099 contract role serves as a Behavioral Health Subject Matter Expert, providing clinical expertise in developing resources and identifying best practices related to evidence-based guidelines for identifying and treating Tobacco Use Disorder (TUD). This position is ideal for an experienced RN with a strong behavioral health background and a passion for quality improvement and public health initiatives.

Weekend & Holiday Availability:
✓ No regular weekend or holiday work

Qualifications:
✓ Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher
✓ Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license
✓ At least 3 years of experience working on behavioral health-related projects
✓ Experience in quality improvement preferred
✓ Significant behavioral health and quality improvement experience
✓ Hands-on experience with PDSA (Plan-Do-Study-Act) cycles
✓ Experience developing resources, identifying best practices, preparing reports, and completing project deliverables
✓ Strong clinical knowledge of behavioral health and tobacco use disorder
✓ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
✓ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✓ Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project leads and team members
Position Responsibilities:
Behavioral Health Subject Matter Expert (SME)
✓ Collaborate with the Department of Health (DOH), statewide Behavioral Health Workgroup, and tobacco cessation stakeholders
✓ Support the Tobacco-Free Health Systems contract
✓ Conduct environmental scans and identify evidence-based best practices
✓ Develop tools, resources, and educational content
✓ Create content for the Learning Management System (LMS)
✓ Develop and deliver local and statewide presentations
Quality Improvement Advisor (QIA)
✓ Work with Regional Implementation Contractors, health systems, and healthcare providers
✓ Support regional implementation efforts
✓ Collaborate with health systems and providers on quality improvement initiatives
✓ Provide guidance and technical support to advance tobacco cessation efforts
✓ Support implementation of evidence-based tobacco use disorder interventions
✓ Apply quality improvement methods, including PDSA cycles, to support project goals
