Position Overview: Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a RN Behavioral Health Subject Matter Expert (BH SME) – QIN to fill a position with a nonprofit organization located in Jericho, NY. This 1099 contract role is responsible for identifying, implementing, and managing cross-setting quality improvement strategies within hospital, nursing home, and physician practice settings. The BH SME works with senior leadership, direct care, and performance improvement professionals to provide technical assistance in workflow redesign, team building, communication skills, and emergency preparedness. This position is ideal for an experienced behavioral health professional with a strong quality improvement background who is passionate about improving transitions of care for individuals with behavioral health diagnoses.

Schedule:

✓ Monday to Friday, during regular business hours
✓ 20 hours per week
✓ No regular weekend or holiday availability required
✓ Occasional weekend or holiday meetings/training may be required with advance notice
✓ Occasional travel within New York for onsite provider visits or in-person meetings, no more than once per quarter
Qualifications:

✓ Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher
✓ Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in New York State
✓ At least 3 years of experience working in a healthcare-related field
✓ At least 1 year of experience in quality improvement
✓ Strong communication, collaboration, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
✓ Behavioral health, care transitions, or healthcare emergency preparedness experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:

✓ Identify, implement, and manage cross-setting quality improvement strategies within hospital, nursing home, and physician practice settings
✓ Provide technical assistance in workflow redesign, team building, communication skills, and emergency preparedness
✓ Support implementation and monitoring of evidence-based behavioral health interventions, trauma-informed care, and workplace resiliency strategies
✓ Work with healthcare and community-based organizations to improve transitions of care for individuals with behavioral health diagnoses
✓ Recruit and engage providers, community organizations, faith-based groups, community centers, human service agencies, political and business leaders, media, consultants, educational institutions, and Medicare beneficiaries
✓ Develop and present instructional curriculum and content for instructor-led and self-paced learning modules
