Job description

Responsibilities:
Ensures delivery of medical services to patients with intellectual disabilities, complex medical, psychiatric, and/or behavioral health needs per accepted medical practices.

Provides leadership, assigns, and supervises the daily activities of the medical department which includes the following departments: Medical, Pharmacy, Dental, Psychiatry, and on-site Clinic.
Provides clinical supervision and professional guidance for Medical APRNs (prescriptive authority required).

Participates in the facility’s Quality Improvement Process to include ensuring adherence to regulations and terms of the Department of Justice Settlement Agreement.

Case load will be around 0-15 people.

See approximately 0-5 patients per day for acute illness, injury or follow-up.
Will provide clinical guidance/supervision to the APRNs regarding medical issues for their assigned patients.

Perform clinics/meetings in the morning, and annual physicals/meetings in the afternoon.

Will see injured employees as part of the facility’s workers’ compensation program.
