Job Details:

• Join an award-winning Level 1 Trauma Center team recently recognized as AP Team of the Year
• Open to Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners
• Inpatient, trauma surgery setting located at 79 Jefferson Street, Hartford, CT 06102
• Full-time schedule with 3x13 hour shifts with premium differentials offered
• No call required
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care for trauma patients across emergency, operating room, surgical floors, critical care units, and outpatient settings
• Extensive training and onboarding provided including management and resuscitation of Level 1 trauma patients, first assist OR skills, chest tubes, central lines, and additional procedures
• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans
• Develop plans for further evaluation of patient health needs in collaboration with physician and care team members
• Provide appropriate treatment within the scope of practice and refer appropriately when needed
• Utilize state-of-the-art EPIC clinical and informatics technology to promote improved patient outcomes
• Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
• Must be a certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
• New graduates are welcome to apply; 2+ years of surgical experience preferred
• Dedicated support through the Office of Advanced Practice for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
• Established mentorship and orientation programs available for newly hired providers
