Job Details:
- Join a Surgical Subspecialties team as a full-time Physician Assistant providing care across multiple surgical disciplines including general surgery, colorectal, bariatrics, vascular, thoracic, plastics, gynecologic-oncology, and neurosurgery
- APP-led team involved in all aspects of surgical care including managing surgical inpatients, admissions, and consultations
- Perform operative first-assist duties and bedside procedures
- Inpatient, general surgery setting located at 326 Washington Street, Norwich, CT 06360
- Full-time schedule consisting of three 12-13 hour rotating shifts per week
- No call schedule required
- Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
- Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with physicians and care team members, including referrals to specialists as appropriate
- Provide treatment for problems within scope of practice and refer appropriately to physicians when needed
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
- New graduates welcome to apply - a comprehensive onboarding process will be provided
- Preferred: 2+ years of inpatient surgery experience as a Physician Assistant
