📅 Assignment Details
Required Coverage:
Must be able to work September 28 – October 9
Additional coverage available throughout assignment
Call Schedule:
Weekend call: 1–2 weekends/month
Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
Weeknight call: ~4 shifts/month
5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Rounding:
Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Setting: Hospital (OR + Surgical Floor)
Beds: 109
EMR: Epic
🩺 Work Details

Responsibilities Include:

Surgical First Assist in the OR
Assisting with:
Cauterization, suturing, and wound closure
Hemostasis and tissue management
Patient positioning and intraoperative support
Supporting robotic-assisted procedures

Floor Responsibilities:

Rounding and progress notes
Order management, consults, and discharges
Coordinating patient care

📌 Patient Population: Adult, acutely ill
📌 Case Mix: General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics

🧠 Clinical Scope
Surgical first assist (robotics required)
OR + inpatient floor coverage
Weekend call may include:
C-sections
Hip fracture cases
✅ Requirements
Provider Type: NP or PA
Experience:
Minimum 2 years recent experience
Robotics experience REQUIRED
Orthopedic experience strongly preferred
License: Active NY license REQUIRED
EMR: Epic experience required
Certifications:
BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
ATLS
⏱️ Credentialing
Standard onboarding timeline
📌 Additional Details
Orientation prior to October 1 preferred
Will work alongside anesthesia, NP, LPN, and surgical team

• 26 weeks with option to extend
• On call optional
