APP – Surgical Specialties (NP or PA)
Location: Dallas, TX
Start Date: 6/1/2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule
Weekend day coverage only
Shift: 6:00–18:00
No call
Consistent weekend coverage needed

Practice Details
Inpatient surgical/trauma consultation service
General surgery and trauma adult patient population

Patient volume: Low (consult-based; may have zero encounters)

Special procedures: None required
No first assist responsibilities

EMR: eCW

Works alongside nursing staff and surgical/trauma teams

Clinical Scope
Inpatient consults for adult general surgery and trauma
Evaluate, manage, and coordinate care for consult patients
Interpret clinical findings, labs, and imaging as appropriate
Communicate with multidisciplinary teams
Document all encounters within EMR

Requirements
NP or PA accepted (PA strongly preferred; NP requires Adult Acute Care certification)
Active Texas license required at submission
Board certified or eligible per role
DEA required per standard practice
Inpatient surgical/trauma experience preferred
Ability to work independently on a consult service

Credentialing
Approx. 90 day credentialing timeline
