Position Summary:

Berkshire Medical Center is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join its surgical services team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a wide range of surgical specialties and be comfortable taking call, precepting new staff, and working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Required Experience and Skills:

Minimum 5 years of current OR nursing experience – Required
Minimum 3 months of previous travel experience – Required (1 year preferred)
Must be comfortable precepting – Required
Must be able and willing to take call – Required
Scrub experience – Preferred (RNs with both circulate and scrub experience will be prioritized)
Proficient in the following surgical specialties:
General Surgery
Gynecology
Vascular
Thoracic
Orthopedics (including total joints)
Neurosurgery (head and spine)
Trauma
Preferred experience in:
C-sections
ENT
Plastics
DaVinci Robotic Surgery
Strong preference for experience with Meditech Expanse
Licensure and Certification Requirements:

Massachusetts RN License – Must be active and in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
